Blue Water Junior Golf Association (BWJGA)

For over 18 years, the Blue Water Junior Golf Association has worked to promote and offer competitive golfing opportunities to area youth from 10 to 17 years of age.  Since then, over 900 local junior golfers have participated in this fun program, several of which have been fortunate enough to earn scholarships to play golf in college or have made a career working in the golf industry.  Several area golf courses and country clubs have participated over the years, discounting greens fees, making play affordable for all participants.  Parent volunteers serve as ad-hoc tournament officials and golfers are pre-tested to assure appropriate attire, proper etiquette and fair play according to USGA and local course rules. 

OUR OBJECTIVE

The BWJGA seeks to promote the sport of golf among young adults and to further the game by emphasizing proper golf etiquette, healthy competition by student athletes, sportsmanship and fair play.
